Squid is very rich in protein. One ounce of squid contains 4.4 grams of protein. Proteins are essential in keeping your skin, hair and nails healthy. It also helps build and maintain healthy muscle and is very good for people who are on a diet since protein curbs hunger and since squid is rich with nutrients, it is a perfect meal for people who want to lose weight.

Many vitamins and minerals are present in abundance in calamari. It is abundant in calcium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, niacin, magnesium, vitamin B2, B3, B6, B12 and vitamin C etc. The presence of these minerals and vitamins play an important role in keeping the body healthy.

These nutrients help keep the blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels in control and the risk of heart disease is thus lowered. Squid is very good in case of anemia and it also boosts a healthy immune system. The bones and teeth also stay strong.

    Slimmed Down Triple Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies 45 calories, 1.4 g. fat, 2 g. prieton, 9 g. carbs, 32 mg. sodium, 6 g. fiber 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted1 cup canned white cannellini beans, rinsed and drained2 Tbs. light agave nectar3 egg whites1 1/2 cups granulated Splenda1/4 cup dark chocolate-covered cacao nibs1/4 cup mini chocolate chips Preheat oven to 375. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.Combine vanilla, cocoa, beans, and agave nectar in food processor. Process until the mixture is smooth, about 3 minutes, scraping bowl halfway through.Beat eggs whites until soft peaks are formed. Gradually beat in Splenda. Continue to beat whites until creamy and nearly stiff. Add 1/3 of egg-white mixture tot he cocoa bean mixture in the food processor. Blend to combine, 30 seconds. In 2 batches, fold lightened cocoa mixture into the egg whites until almost fully combined. Add cacao nibs to batter. Fold until nibs are evenly dispersed.Drop mounded spoonfuls of batter onto prepared sheets. Spread batter out to form cookies about 2 1/2 in diameter. Sprinkle with chips.Bake 20 minutes, rotating the pans one turn halfway through baking. Using a metal spatula, transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.
